The most important type of cutting machinery is "machining center". A ball holder type LM guide and a ball screw having high accuracy and high rigidity are used in a work table and a drive mechanism for moving a cutting tool which must accurately and quickly position a workpiece. In addition, crossed roller collars are used in rotary tables where smooth rotation is required.
Milling Machine
Although machining centers and other CNC lathes are the main means of manufacturing mass-produced products, milling machines are still used in cutting-edge production. In addition, under the fine control of skilled personnel, the most advanced machines capable of manufacturing ultra-precision products are also produced. In order to repeatedly produce this advanced product, the LM guide rail and ball screw with no waste action are used in the milling machine guide system.
NC Lathe
Like machining centers, NC lathes also play a prominent role in machining work. LM guides and ball screws are indispensable for the movement of the lathe tool part due to their high rigidity and high precision. In addition, the LM rail combines this high rigidity with a very compact design, contributing to the miniaturization of the device.

Plane milling machine is a kind of large milling machine. It goes without saying that its workpiece is also very large and heavy. However, if the high-rigidity LM guide is used for the table movement, the table can move smoothly and the machining of large parts can be very precise.
CNC gear hobbing machine
Traditionally, hobbing machines for making gears for motion and power transmission use sliding guides, but piping design and lubrication management are difficult. By combining LM guides and ball screws with lubrication options, system design work and assembly steps can be reduced, while extending the required maintenance work intervals.
surface grinding machine
Until recently, hydraulic cylinders were used to feed the table of a surface grinding machine. But with the use of ball screws and servo systems, the work is more accurate and faster, thereby improving production efficiency. Machines that use ball screws do not require any hydraulic system, which makes the machine cleaner and reduces possible adverse effects on the environment.
